Rainey Saddle   Return to Antique Saddles
 My farther-in-laws saddle (he is in a nursing home), He is 85  and lived in  SW arkansas (worked
in Texarkana at Lone Star Army ammunition plant) until 1950 when he and
his family moved to Texarkana. Dad rode the Little River area of Arkansas, he implied to me that he had had the
saddle a very long time and never said he bought it used or in Texarkana.
It is a Schoellkopf Jumbo and he indicated that it was from the 30's or 40's . (with the elephant logo)
