My grandfather was an expert saddle maker here in Sacramento California.
My name is Raymond Ledesma and I am trying to locate any saddles that he made. He worked for Van Voohries in Sacramento from 1870 on to about 1920.
I have located his catologs but I cannot seem to locate any of his saddles. He is noted for what is called the Ledesma tree. Here is a picture of one of his stock saddles taken from the 1880 catalog. He was an artist and worked well with silver and gold.
I have put together a short story about his life but the missing part is an actual saddle.
